Minutes of Bond Hearing
July 9, 2007
The Board of Education of Fillmore County School District 0025 (Fillmore Central Public Schools) held a public hearing at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, July 9, 2007, at the Fillmore Central Middle School building, to hear comments on (1) the District's itemized estimate of amounts necessary to be expended for the abatement of actual or potential environmental hazards, the elimination of accessibility barriers, the correction of life safety code violations, the improvement of indoor air quality, and/or the abatement and prevention of mold within the District's elementary and middle school facilities (the "Project"); (2) the District's issuance of its Limited Tax Obligation Building Improvement Bonds (the "Bonds") in the estimated aggregate principal amount of $375,000 to pay the costs of the Project; and (3) the District's levying of a limited tax not to exceed 5.2 cents for a period not to exceed 10 years to pay the principal of and the interest on the Bonds.

Minutes of Regular Meeting
July 9, 2007
Call to Order
President Dave Biba called the regular board meeting of Fillmore County School District #25 to order at 7:33 p.m. on Monday, July 9, 2007, at the Fillmore Central Middle School in Fairmont. Other members present were Bobby Hoeft, Roger Jacobsen, Mark Lightwine, Dave Ochsner, Tom Pribyl, and Bob Webb. Also present were Superintendent Mark Norvell, Principal Jim Rose, Nicole Thompson, Donna Thompson, Alishia Copanos, Bev Copanos, Jay Spearman, and a representative from the Nebraska Signal.
Declaration of Legal Meeting
Webb moved and Ochsner seconded that the July 9, 2007, regular meeting be declared a legal meeting.
Roll Call: Ayes: Hoeft, Jacobsen, Lightwine, Ochsner, Pribyl, Webb, Biba. Nayes: None. Absent: Domeier and Ehmen. Motion Carried.
Member Dennis Domeier arrived at 7:34 pm
Excuse Absences
Pribyl moved and Webb seconded that the Board excuse the absence of member Ehmen from the July 9, 2007, regular meeting.
Roll Call: Ayes: Hoeft, Jacobsen, Lightwine, Ochsner, Pribyl, Webb, Domeier, Biba. Nayes: None: Absent: Ehmen. Motion Carried.

President Biba asked if there was any correspondence or public input. There was none at this time.

Minutes
Lightwine moved and Webb seconded that the Board approve the minutes of the June 11, 2007, regular Board of Education meeting.

Financial Reports
Hoeft moved and Ochsner seconded that the Board approve the financial reports as presented.

Claims
Lightwine moved and Webb seconded that the Board approve the General Fund Claims in the amount of $281,702.15.
Roll Call: Ayes: Ochsner, Pribyl, Webb, Domeier, Hoeft, Jacobsen, Lightwine, Biba. Nayes: None. Absent: Ehmen. Motion Carried.
Building Fund Claims
Lightwine moved and Hoeft seconded that the Board approve Building Fund Claims in the amount of $59,476.43.
Roll Call: Ayes: Pribyl, Webb, Domeier, Hoeft, Jacobsen, Lightwine, Ochsner, Biba. Nayes: None. Absent: Ehmen. Motion Carried.
Miscellaneous Charges Schedule
Ochsner moved and Pribyl seconded that the Board approve the 2007-08 Miscellaneous Charges Schedule as presented.
Roll Call: Ayes: Webb, Domeier, Hoeft, Jacobsen, Lightwine, Ochsner, Pribyl, Biba. Nayes: None. Absent: Ehmen. Motion Carried.
Early Graduation Request
Hoeft moved and Webb seconded that the Board approve the early graduation request of Alishia Copanos.
Roll Call: Ayes: Domeier, Hoeft, Jacobsen, Lightwine, Ochsner, Pribyl, Webb, Biba. Nayes: None. Absent: Ehmen. Motion Carried.
Health Curriculum
Hoeft moved and Webb seconded that the Board approve the Health Curriculum as presented.
Roll Call: Ayes: Hoeft, Jacobsen, Lightwine, Ochsner, Pribyl, Webb, Domeier, Biba. Nayes: None. Absent: Ehmen. Motion Carried.
Bond Resolution
Lightwine moved and Ochsner seconded that the Board approve a resolution authorizing the issuance by Fillmore County School District 0025 (Fillmore Central Public School) in the State of Nebraska of its limited tax obligation building improvement bonds, series 2007, in the aggregate principal amount of three hundred seventy-five thousand dollars ($375,000) and imposing a limited tax to pay the principal of and interest on such bonds.
