Call to Order
President Dave Biba called the
regular board meeting of Fillmore County School District #25 to
order at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, December 10, 2007, at the Fillmore
Central High School in Geneva. Other members present were
Dennis Domeier, Bobby Hoeft, Mark Lightwine, Dave Ochsner, Tom
Pribyl, Bob Webb. Also present were Superintendent Mark
Norvell, Principal Jim Rose, Principal Jeremy Klein, and a
representative from the Nebraska Signal.
Declaration of Legal
Meeting
Ochsner moved and Pribyl seconded
that the December 10, 2007, regular meeting be declared a legal
meeting.
Roll Call: Ayes:
Webb, Domeier, Hoeft, Lightwine, Ochsner, Pribyl, Biba.
Nayes: None. Absent: Ehmen, Jacobsen.
Motion Carried.
Member
Jacobsen arrived at 7:35.
Excuse
Absences
Hoeft moved and Webb seconded
that the Board excuse the absence of member Ehmen from the December
10, 2007 regular meeting.

Biba. Nayes: None. Absent: Ehmen.
Motion Carried.

Input and Recognition of Correspondence
President Biba asked if there was
any correspondence or public input. There was none at this
time.
Comments from Superintendent,
Principals, and A.D.
Superintendent Mark Norvell,
Principal Jim Rose, Principal Jeremy Klein, and Principal Mark
Wragge’s reports were presented.
Minutes
Lightwine moved and Webb seconded that the Board approve the
minutes of the November 12, 2007, regular Board of Education
meeting.
Roll Call: Ayes:
Hoeft, Jacobsen, Lightwine, Ochsner, Pribyl, Webb, Domeier,
Biba. Nayes: None. Absent: Ehmen.
Motion Carried.
Financial Reports
Domeier moved and Webb seconded that the Board approve the
financial reports as presented.
Roll Call: Ayes: Hoeft,
Jacobsen, Lightwine, Ochsner, Pribyl, Webb, Domeier, Biba.
Nayes: None. Absent: Ehmen. Motion
Carried.
Claims
Jacobsen moved and Webb seconded that the Board approve the General
Fund Claims in the amount of $228,395.03.

Jacobsen, Lightwine, Ochsner, Pribyl, Webb, Domeier, Hoeft,
Biba. Nayes: None. Absent: Ehmen.
Motion Carried.
2006-2007 Audit
Lightwine moved and Pribyl
seconded that the Boiard approve the 2006-2007 Fillmore Central
Public School audit report as presented.

Lightwine, Ochsner, Pribyl, Webb, Domeier, Hoeft, Jacobsen,
Biba. Nayes: None. Absent: Ehmen.
Motion Carried.
Certified Staff
Resignation
Lightwine moved and Ocshner seconded that the Board accept the
resignation of Mr. William Tangeman effective December 21,
2007.
Roll Call: Ayes:
Ochsner, Pribyl, Webb, Domeier, Hoeft, Jacobsen, Lightwine,
Biba. Nayes: None. Absent: Ehmen.

Certified Staff
Contract
Lightwine moved and Pribyl seconded that the Board approve a
teaching contract for Emily Wilke starting January 3, 2008.

Pribyl, Webb, Domeier, Hoeft, Jacobsen, Lightwine, Ochsner,
Biba. Nayes: None. Absent: Ehmen.
Motion Carried.
Early
Retirement For 2008-2009
Hoeft moved and Webb seconded
that the Board approve accepting two early retirement applications
for the 2008-09 school year.

Biba. Nayes: None. Absent: Ehmen.
