DR SEUSS’ BIRTHDAY
By Mark Wragge
March 10, 2008
Fillmore Central Elementary students and
pre-school students celebrated Dr. Seuss’ birthday on Tuesday,
March 4th. Students were encouraged to wear their
pajamas and slippers to school as the plan was to spend an hour in
the afternoon reading, eating popcorn, and relaxing in the
gym. The event was wrapped with a song by the entire
4th grade class, and an oath about the importance of
reading was recited by all students. Each child was also
given a bookmark. The students look forward to this
celebration, and enjoy the time reading to other students.
