It's All "Heart" in Fifth Grade

The Fifth Grade Science Classes at FCMS have all heart........and lungs, and blood vessels, and more! The classes have been studying the circulatory system and have just begun to discover interesting facts about the respiratory system and how it works. Students will tell you that touching a cow's heart was a really "gross" experience, but it was interesting to observe the different chambers of the heart and how big the aorta really is. The study of the body systems will conclude with a review of the skeletal and muscular systems.
