Temple Grandin, Ph.D., is one of the most famous adults with autism in the country.
HBO has produced a full-length movie, Temple Grandin, about the challenges and
successes she has had as an adult with autism. Although she didn’t speak until she was
3½ years old, she has become a prominent author and speaker on this subject. She also
maintains a website, www.templegrandin.com, where you can read about some of her
experiences and purchase books she has written. She currently works as a Professor of
Animal Science at Colorado State University. Dr. Grandin's current bestselling book on
autism is The Way I See It: A Personal Look at Autism and Asperger's.
